More Salt Lake City Pictures

These pictures were taken at the Olympic park outside of Salt Lake City.

So I thought if I uploaded smaller pictures, it wouldn't take as long. I was wrong! Next time I will be going back to my regular size pictures.

Salt Lake City

As a dork, sometimes math teachers get the shaft. However, this is not the case. I was forunate to come to Salt Lake City, Utah for a national math teacher conference. As dorky as it may sound, it is quite interesting. Besides getting a lot of free pens, text books and tote bags, I was also able to hear several different speakers. I have to admit, I wasn't thrilled about going somewhere cold for Spring Break either. BUT, the city is beautiful. I do have more respect for the Mormon faith........but naturally still disagree. I was able to visit Temple Square and hear the Mormon Tabernacle choir as well as an organ recital. Everything is free....except you have to hear about the Mormon faith over and over and over. I don't think it is legal for me to post the video I took, but I will post my pictures. We also went to Park City, which I have re-named "Really stinkin' rich people City" It is VERY pretty. Enjoy the pictures.

The Snow FINALLY stopped

After 10 inches, God has decided that we have enough snow. So what did I do, I PLAYED!! It was so much fun. I jumped around a bunch, made a snow-cat, and scraped the snow off my car so the sun could finish the job. Overall, I felt like a kid again. I even considered shoving snow onto the sidewalk, the decided not to. :-) So, here are more pictures!

Let it Snow part 2

Ok, I thought it was bad last night. Hahahaha! Jason had to go to work this morning and use four wheel drive the whole way. (I am sure he didn't mind using the 4 wheel drive!)
Here are more pictures. Needless to say, I will not be going anywhere until the snow melts. (And the "hippies" say my SUV is bad!! :-p) This is the wonderful cool blue MR2. I finally found a use....a good photo op.

I scraped some snow off my car already b/c I was afraid of the weight of the snow.

Let it Snow!!

If I hadn't lived in Kentucky my whole life, this snow storm might be a shock. However, it is not. Heck, I remember in 1986 when it snowed in APRIL!! (And we have the home movie to prove it!)

The proof is in the pictures. Sorry these are night shots. I will try to get better ones tomorrow. On a happier note, my gas sucking polluting SUV finally came in handy four years after we bought it!!

Two Fuzzy Boys

A quick break to let everyone see my two favorite boys. Note the one on the right is trying to copy the fuzziness of the one of the left.

Even MORE pictures from Mexico

Note about riding horses in Mexico: It is fun. However, don't tell boarder patrol!! They took me into the "back room" and asked me the same questions over and over. At the end, they wanted to look at my shoes to see if I was bringing dirt back into the USA! Is it just me or did at least 25 other people on the boat ride a horse in Mexico?
